That you have deigned to hear us, that you have chosen to answer us in our hour of need. We say this because we know that our prayers will be granted

Go here to read the rest:
DEVOTIONS & PRAYERS

What do you do when fear makes an attempt to attack you, Dony? We have to rebuke it. You know.. How does one rebuke it thought? We should pray. That's's right. All right, how does one pray? When fear comes at me, the neatest thing I will do is go into my prayer closet and begin praying in the Spirit of Our Lord God as the Spirit knows what I'm facing even more than I even know what I am facing.
Richard Roberts can make a prayer closet right here on this piano bench today. All right, now here's the rationale I'm saying this. So many people think : Well, I've got to be in the right circumstances. Now what Dony said is so very important. You know, everything has to be good in order for me to offer prayers. You know, there are some folks who believe if they close their eyes tight enough while they pray something will occur. Friend, it does not have anything to do with your eyes. It must do with that linkup with your Heavenly Father.
that is's right. I can tell you what too, Richard Roberts , about how much I appreciate this bunch of people. A few months ago, the first year I had surgery I had a lot of tumors and, thank Heavens, they were all benign and I had just come back home from the hospital and I was staying with my ma and pa who are watching this A. M. in California. And your show. The rerun comes on about 5:30 in the morning in L. A. and I had been up all night long and the rerun came on and I was so sick and on the rerun..
I am so pleased God isn't limited by time or space. On the rerun you revealed,'There's a lady out there who is having pain in your stomach,' and right away. Not only is the Word to our ear but it's to our spirit and something in my just quickened and I claimed,'God, that is's my word. I'm taking this healing for me.' you just received it for yourself.
Richard Roberts just received it for me. I claimed,'That's me.' And you probably did this the day before, but with The Lord God there is no times. He's the God of now.

O God in heaven, in the name of Jesus Richard Roberts believe your word. I believe the story of the cross. I believe in the death andresurrection of Jesus Christ. I confess him as my Lord and my Savior. I, Richard Roberts , receive him now as he receives me. From this moment forward I am definitely a kid of The Lord God. Jesus is my Lord, God is my father, and I am free from sin. Now just start to thank him for it and praise him for it. Halleluia. Many thanks, pa. It's that simple. You just received him by religion and he'll do the rest.
Friend, if you meant that with your heart, then Jesus has entered your life by the power of the Lord and you'll never be the same again. I have got a tiny book entitled,'Now you have accepted Christ. What next?' many thanks, Billy Joe. If you don't have a copy, i'd like to send it to you. All you have got to do to get it is write me : Richard Roberts , Tulsa, Oklahoma. Or you can call the abundant Life Prayer Group and say,'Please tell Richard I would like to have that book,
'Now you have accepted Christ. What next?' We have just some seconds before our program closes. Friend, in the name of Jesus I come against the illness and disease in your body, in your life, in your mind, in your family,
in your finances. I pray for you in every area of your life. I pray for you to be healed today. I bind the demon's power and I say : demon, you take your hands off God's property. In the name of Jesus, my friend, be healed from your head to your feet in the name of Jesus. And friend, I lovingly give you a chance to plant a special seed-faith present this week to help me with this
TV ministry in going on new stations. I should be enlightening you more about it tomorrow. That is all the time we have today. Dony and Reba, God bless you. Jerry, Billy Joe. Till we see your tomorrow, take these words with you twenty four seven. Regardless of what it looks like, God can spin it round for you.

The Lord God is seen in Bible versus Quran (4)

This is the fourth article of the series:

"Is The Lord God Seen or Not in Bible versus Quran?"

In the previous three articles, the Bible says that many men have seen the Lord God like Abraham and Isaac, Jacob. Not only has that, but Jacob Wrestles with God and Jacob defeated GOD.

Read the articles "The Lord God is seen in Bible versus Quran" (1-3).

In this article, Moses and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy elders saw the Lord God of Israel face to face.  This indicates that in addition to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, there are 74 persons more who saw the Lord God.

Yet the Bible declares that No one has ever seen God at any time.

The Noble Quran says that No one can see the Almighty Creator in the life of this world; yet, only the believers will see Him in the Hereafter.

In addition, the Quran mentions the story when Moses said, ‘My Lord! Show me, Yourself and Allah told him that he could not see him; and then Allah revealed Himself, to the mountain He leveled it to the ground and Moses fell down senseless.

======================================================

?? In the Bible: The Lord God is Seen (4)

The Lord God appeared to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses; hence, Moses is the fourth man who saw the Lord God

The Lord God spoke to Moses and said to him, "I am the LORD; I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them.

Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD.

Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders saw the Lord God.

Under God's feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself.  God did not lay his hand on the chief men, the elders of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

? The Lord God appeared to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses

Exodus 3:15-16 (New International Version)

15 God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

16 "Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

? Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did not know the name Jehovah

Exodus 6:2-3 (New International Version)

2 God also said to Moses, "I am the LORD.

3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD (Jehovah) I did not make myself known to them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

? Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders saw the Lord God.

This indicates that in addition to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, there are 74 persons more who saw the Lord God.

Under God's feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself.  God did not lay his hand on the chief men, the elders of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank.

Exodus 24:8-11 (New International Version)

8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words."

9 Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up

10 and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself.

11 But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

? Yet, No one have ever seen the Lord God in the Bible!

Read Exodus 33:20, John 1:18 and 1 John 4:12 and read the articles "The Lord God is Seen in Bible versus Quran" (1) and (2).

======================================================

?? In the Quran: The Lord God is NOT Seen (3)

In the previous articles "The Lord God is seen in Bible versus Quran" (1-3), the following three points are mentioned therein:

1) No man can see the Almighty Creator in the life of this world (Verse 6:103)

2) On the Day of Judgment, your sight will be acute, very sharp and piercing. (Verse 50: 22)

3) Only the Believers will see their LORD in the Hereafter (Verses 75: 22-23).

In this article, verses 7:138-144 tell the story when Moses said, ‘My Lord! Show me, Yourself and Allah told him that he could not see him; and then Allah revealed Himself, to the mountain He leveled it to the ground and Moses fell down senseless.

The meanings of verses 7:138-144

The meanings of verse 7: 138

And Allah brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and they came unto a people (who were given up to idols which they had) who worshipped idols. They said:

O Moses! Make for us a god, show us a god to worship, an idol for us to worship, just as they have gods  ‘O Moses, make for us a god, an idol for us to worship, just as they have gods.’ He said, ‘Truly you are an ignorant folk, for repaying God’s grace to you with what you have said.

The meanings of verse 7: 139

Truly as for these, their idolatry will be destroyed and all that they are doing of idolatry is in vain.

The meanings of verse 7: 140

Then Moses said: Shall I seek for you a god other than Allah, shall I command you to worship another lord when Allah has favored you above all the nations of your time through surrender unto Him?

The meanings of verse 7: 141

And remember when Allah delivered you from Pharaoh's folk who were afflicting you with dreadful torment, slaughtering your little sons and sparing your girls. These events were tremendous trial as well as blessing from your Lord, so will you not heed the admonition and desist from what you are saying?

The meanings of verse 7: 142

And when Allah appointed for Moses to spend in the mountain thirty nights and added to them ten more days and he completed the whole time appointed by his Lord of forty nights (thus was completed the term of communion) with his lord, forty nights.; and Moses said unto his brother Aaron: Take my place, be my deputy among the people. Do right, enjoin them to do right, and do not follow the way of mischief-makers by committing transgressions.

The meanings of verse 7: 143

And when Moses came at Allah's appointed time, that is, the time at which Allah had promised to speak to him, and his Lord spoke with him, without any intermediary, with speech which he heard from all directions,

Moses said, ‘My Lord! Show me, Yourself, that I may behold You!’

Allah Said, ‘You shall not see Me, that is to say, you do not have the power to see me, but behold the mountain, which is stronger than you are, and if it remains, stays fixed, in its place, then you shall see Me’, that is, [then] you shall remain fixed and able to see Me, otherwise, you will not have the capacity for it.

And when Allah revealed Himself, that is, [when] He manifested of His Light the equivalent of half a nail of a little finger, (as stated in one Hadith), to the mountain He leveled it to the ground and Moses fell down senseless, having lost consciousness at the awesomeness of what he had seen.

And when he recovered his senses he said, ‘Glory be to You!, in Your transcendence. I repent to You, for having asked You what I was not commanded [to ask], and I am the first of the believers’, of my time.

It should be emphasized that the use of this expression [lan tar?n?, which means, ‘you shall not see Me’] instead of lan ur?, which means, ‘I shall not be seen’, implies that it is possible to see God, exalted be He (but only the believers will see Him in the Afterlife)

The meanings of verse 7: 144

Hen Allah said, to him: ‘O Moses, I have elected you, chosen you, from among mankind, the people of your time, for My Messages and My Speech, that is, [for] My having spoken to you. So take what I have given you, of bounty, and be of the thankful’, of My favors.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Verses 7: 138-144 (Yusuf Ali translation)

Verse 7: 138

We took the children of Israel (with safety) across the sea. They came upon a people devoted entirely to some idols they had. They said: "o Moses! Fashion for us a god like unto the gods they have." he said: "surely ye are a people without knowledge.

Verse 7: 139

As to these folk, - the cult they are in is (but) a fragment of a ruin, and vain is the (worship) which they practice.

Verse 7: 140

He said: "shall I seek for you a god other than the (true) Allah, when it is Allah who hath endowed you with gifts above the nations?"

Verse 7: 141

And remember we rescued you from pharaoh's people, who afflicted you with the worst of penalties, who slew your male children and saved alive your females: in that was a momentous trial from your lord.

Verse 7: 142

We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his lord, forty nights. and Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "act for me amongst my people: do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief.

Verse 7: 143

When Moses came to the place appointed by us, and his lord addressed him, he said: "o my lord! Show (thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "by no means canst thou see me (direct); but look upon the mount; if it abides in its place, then shalt thou see Me." when his lord manifested his glory on the mount, he made it as dust. and Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "glory be to thee! To thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe.

Verse 7: 144

(Allah) said: "o Moses! I have chosen thee above (other) men, by the mission I (have given thee) and the words I (have spoken to thee): take then the (revelation) which I give thee, and be of those who give thanks.

Financial Prosperity

Like so many people on the internet I have tried a number of ways of making "big" money on the web and yes, I have made at least one bad investment. There is more than one money making formula out there. Some formulas are good and some not so good. God knows more than a little about financial prosperity and He desires the Christian to prosper. However, God wants the Christian to prosper His way.

Formula to a Relationship

God desires that instead of looking to a formula, the Christian should look to Him and not to a formula. God wants you to shift your allegiance from a money making formula to a deep relationship with Him and then you will prosper the best way. Are you seeking to know God intimately and have a deep relationship with Him? He says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

The Financial Prosperity Revelation

God gave me a revelation of Matthew 6:33 and showed me if I would seek Him and put His agenda first place in my life then my prosperity would be manifested. Seeking God is the best investment in your destiny.

In Hebrews 11:6b He states, "He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" (Psalm 37:4 KJV).

Serve God or Money?

Remember what is stated in Matthew 6:24 of the Living Bible, "You cannot serve two masters: God and money. For you will hate one and love the other, or else the other way around."

Seek and love God with all your heart and get involved with His program. Good investment. He has just the formula for your success: a deep relationship with Him which will unfold the glorious destiny He has for your life. And that destiny does include prosperity.

But what if you refuse to do the will of God? Here is your answer: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21 KJV).

God's Love is Eternal

God's love is eternal because it has Divine substance and nature.

We are going to pass away. Our world will pass away, our material reality soon will be no more, but God's love shall remain forever, because God is love?love infinite! This love is coming from heaven; it is coming from eternity; it is coming from our Creator; it is coming from the Author and the source of all things that exist!

The love of God can't be measured, quantified, or weighed, because it's infinite, and so great, so vast; it is a mystery! We are ephemeral, we are such limited beings. We are mortal people, but God's love does not change, does not cease being and existing because its substance and nature is eternal and Divine! God's sublime love never dies, never shall stop being, and existing; its substance is immaterial and Divine! It is to hard and difficult for us, as limited humans beings, to define and to explain it, its substance, quintessence, because it is a mystery, because it is from God. Its source is in heaven at our Creator because the real love, the pure love, comes from God.

God is love ! infinite love, absolute love, eternal love!

God loves us with an everlasting love .

The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.                                                                                                                                              Jeremiah 31; 3

God loves us! It is great to be loved by God, to know that our Creator loves us and takes care of us, every step, every day, all the time. God loves us with an everlasting love! Nobody can stop God from loving us. We are in God's Mighty Hands, and He protects us from the enemy who is evil.

God is our father, we are His children; He has drawn us with lovingkindness.

God loves us without condition, according to His character and nature, according to the nature of His love. It is in God's character and nature to love, to forgive, to show kindness, to manifest generosity, compassion, mercy, because God is love! God is our Creator and Maker; He made us with an purpose - to be His children, His creation - to be the creatures and beings which love him and do His will.

God loves His creation and His creatures! God is as a real father who loves his child and wants the best for them; He works hard to raise his child; he makes great effort and sacrifice to form him, to educate him, because he loves his child and is taking care of him.

God is more than a father. God is more than a human being. A human being loves, but his love is limited. God is love! God's love is infinite .

God loves us, His creatures, with His Divine love, unconditionally, because His love is so great because His love is so big, so wonderful, so sublime, so marvelous, so beautiful. His love has no measure, has no borders.

Nobody can stop God from loving us, loving His creatures! In His divine love, God has sent His Son to come in our world, in our sinful human condition, to suffer for us, to die for us, to save us!

Is there pleasure in sin? The Bible teaches that sometimes there is – that is for a time. You are probably familiar with the passage in the Bible found in Heb. 11:24-25 that speaks of the “pleasures of sin for a season” (KJV) or “the passing pleasures of sin” as the New King James puts it. “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.” (Heb. 11:24-25 NKJV)

There is another passage found in 2 Thess. 2:12 that also teaches there is pleasure in sin. That text simply speaks of those who will be condemned because they had “pleasure in unrighteousness.” (NKJV)

One would be a liar and fully aware of his lie if he was to deny that sin can be pleasurable. He would know he was lying not only because of what the word of God has said about it in the passages above but also from his own personal life experiences. Who can say that they have not enjoyed sin at one time or another or at least found it preferable to doing right? If sin was unpleasant who would ever willingly engage in it? We do not, under ordinary circumstances, voluntarily engage ourselves in that which is disagreeable or brings us pain and yet the Bible teaches that “all have sinned.” (Rom. 3:23 NKJV) The only logical conclusion a man can make is that humanity has not found sin to be unpleasurable, just the opposite.

Who can say that he has not been attracted to “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life?” (1 John 2:16 NKJV) Eve was and she is the mother of us all. That is not to say we inherit sin or have to sin but it is certain we have a strong attraction to it as human beings.

The word “pleasures” (plural) is used 4 times in the New King James version of the New Testament. Each time it is used it is in a context related to committing sin.

(1) The first time it is used is in the parable of the soils (Luke 8:14) as Jesus is explaining the parable. “And the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.” It is clear Jesus is teaching that the pleasures of life can get in the way of more important things, spiritual matters, and in the end result in a man having no spiritual crop to harvest. In the last day what do they do who have no crop to give to the Lord? “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved!” (Jer. 8:20 NKJV)

I understand what a disaster it would be for a farmer to come to the end of the season and have no crop but how about a man who comes to the end of life and has no spiritual crop worthy of being harvested, has nothing to show for a life lived? That is the great danger that the cares, riches, and pleasures of this life bring. The things of the world become more important to us than the things of God and we end up reaping what we have sown.

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (Gal. 6:7-8 NKJV)

Not everything that is pleasurable is sin but even when a pleasure is not sinful in and of itself we can make it a sin by putting indulgence in it a priority before God making it an idol we worship ahead of God. Will we have kept the pleasures of life at bay sufficiently to have done our duty before God and man when our time to depart this world has come? We need to do that for we read of those who did not do it in Paul’s day, certain widows, of whom he says, “She who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.” (1 Tim. 5:6 NKJV) The teaching of Jesus is clear – life is to be lived in service to God and man and not for pleasures.

(2) The second time we find the word “pleasures” in the New Testament is in Titus 3:3, “For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.” (NKJV) It is a word that is not in good company in this verse. Look at the words that surround it – foolish, disobedient, deceived, lusts, malice, envy, hateful, hating. The point is much as it was in the parable of the soils – the pleasures of life can become our master, a master we serve, destroying the spiritual life we are suppose to be building.

Paul says some at Rome had been “slaves of sin.” (Rom. 6:17 NKJV) Do you suppose a man can become a slave to pleasure? Paul in Titus 3:4 says that in the last days some will be, “lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” (NKJV) Back in Romans he said, “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?” (Rom. 6:16 NKJV) One can become addicted to a particular pleasure where it becomes an idol replacing God in his heart.

Here is just a simple application of this sort of thing. Most Christians know they ought to be in worship service come the first day of the week, on Sunday. But, how many times in your life have you seen God take a back seat that day, not worshipped at all, because of some special event that brought pleasure? Give a man who has an interest in it a ticket to an NFL game, the Indy 500, or whatever it might be, even just a special family get together, and chances are God will come in second place. Our idea is we can worship God any old Sunday but this is a one time opportunity. We ought to ask ourselves “a one time opportunity to do what – put God second?”

(3) The next time we run across the word “pleasures” in the New Testament is the passage first referred to in this article as we began – the Heb. 11:24-25 passage concerning Moses already quoted. What was there about being in the house of royalty in Egypt that was sinful? We are not told but I suspect we could all make educated guesses and would not miss it too far. That being said there are three awfully important points found in this passage for our consideration.

(a) The place to be is with God’s people, “choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God.” (Heb. 11:25 NKJV) That is where we all belong. We were made in the image of God (Gen. 1:26). God is a spiritual being (John 4:24). We are spiritual beings, his creation; we belong with him and with his people. Moses realized that.

(b) Sin is pleasurable but only for a time and that time is passing. What then? “The wages of sin is death.” (Rom. 6:23 NKJV)

(c) Unless we die first we all reach an age where we are held accountable to God. The text says, “when he became of age.” (Heb. 11:24 NKJV) When that time arrives in our life we can no longer blame others for our shortcomings and failures. The burden of our life becomes our own. When we come to the fork in the road it is no longer Mom or Dad who chooses which path we will take. We must choose for our self and will be held accountable accordingly. Will our choice be the passing pleasures of sin or a life of service to God, a life of decency and of righteousness? No one forces us against our will to live the life we live. It is a personal choice.

(4) The last time we find the word “pleasures” in the New King James New Testament is in James 4:3. Because the context is important here I will quote James 4:1-4, “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (NKJV) The New Living Translation translates the latter part of verse 4, “I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy this world you can’t be a friend of God.”

When one looks at all 4 passages in the New Testament where the word “pleasures” is used the message is inescapable. In God’s eyes life is not about personal pleasures or pleasing self and the man who seeks a life of pleasure over a life of service is not only misguided but on a road that leads to spiritual destruction.

Jesus said, “Even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” (Mark 10:45 NKJV) This was just after telling his disciples, “whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.” (Mark 10:43-44 NKJV)

We should ask not what pleasures the world can bring to us but what good we can do for the world in bringing the world to God and rendering service to our fellowman? Let us not become foolishly involved in the pleasures of sin for a season that brings sorrow for eternity.

Today's critics that America's Framers were temporal and they wanted an earthly public square. Depending on this defective view of history, in the last few weeks they not only filed a case to stop requests at presidential inaugurations but also to get rid of the nation's Day of Prayer. Their discussion is effective only if one doesn't know anything about America's history or its Founding pas. It is a legal document executed in 1794 ( after the ratification of the first alteration ) when Chase was Chief Justice of the state of Maryland. It is an 1807 Fed passport ( released in both English and German ), allowing the ship Herschel to proceed on its journey to London. Notice that President Jefferson dated the letter'in the year of our Lord CHRIST' - language quite particular from other Presidents but language that Jefferson selected to use.
we hope that you like these delicacies from our outstandingly sanctified history and you will share this information with others who could be unfamiliar with America's Godly heritage.
In late 1987, I very providentially discovered that following the high court calls in 1962-1963 removing voluntary college prayer and Bible reading from public schools that academic feat scores plunged, student crime soared, and measures of student morality rocketed ( e.g, teen pregnancies, STD rates, and so on. ). stats, led to the publication of our first book, America : To Pray or Not to offer prayers. I also revealed that early legal rulings on issues we face today ( e.g, prayer in communal areas, Bible reading in schools, public pornography, and so on. ) were exactly the complete opposite of those rendered by courts today. Those early courts cited the first scribblings of the Founding Fathers, and upon reading those writings, I revealed that they contradicted much of what I had been taught about history. We thus started to collect original documents and currently have in our library some seventy thousand documents predating 1812 which undeniably document not only our non secular, moral, and constitutional heritage in general, but our Christian heritage in particular. what has been the best example of law deviating from its original intent?
In his autobiography, Finney reports that he intended to be a barrister, and as he checked out the popular law books of his day, those texts also presented the Biblical ideas that the laws were based. In the midst of studying the law texts, Finney read such a lot of the Bible that he turned into a Christian and received his call to the ministry.
Another example is seen in James Wilson, a signer of the Constitution and an original Justice on the U. S. Wilson taught students :
Made for men or for nations, flows from the same Divine source : it is the law of The Lord God. What we do, indeed, must be founded on what he has done ; and the inadequacies of our laws must be supplied by the perfections of His. Human law must rest its authority, at last, upon the authority of that law which is Divine.

About David Barton

David Barton wants to share something with you. Today , however , Christianity and the law have become rivals and enemies. In reality, in the case Commonwealth v. Chambers, the jury sentence of a person convicted and sentenced by a jury for taking an axe handle and dreadfully clubbing to death a 71-year-old woman in order to steal her Social Security check was reversed by the court as the prosecuting attorney - in a statement that lasted less than 5 seconds - had mentioned a Bible verse in the courtroom.
.

Rick Green and David Barton explain that Many major internet sites and encyclopedias identify the 4th of July as “America’s largest religious holiday,” and the compendium outlines “secular” as “pertaining to things that aren’t regarded as non secular or sacred.” the events leading in to America’s birthday were anything except temporal. As George Washington recognized, “The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he has got to be worse than an infidel that lacks religion, and
